MURMLI TRAIL

Go off on a journey of discovery and visit Murmli and his friends on the Murmli Trail in secluded woodland just below the Komperdell midway station, not far from the Murmli Water. This easy hike along a playful path is a delight for children young and old, and makes a welcome change during a summer holiday.

Children can look forward to a wide range of surprises and experiences. As soon as they pass the entrance they start to hear all sorts of strange sounds on the way.
At the story fountain it’s time to dive into a cave: a mysterious fountain tells the tale of Murmli, the little marmot, and his adventurous journey through the mountains.

Then it’s off to the talking root man who only answers when you throw stones at him – depending on how good your aim is!

The next stop consists of the photo board – a great opportunity to take a family photo alongside Murmli and the bear family. Mums and Dads should make sure they have their cameras with them!

After that, who knows, the sleeping bear might just wake up, move about and start to rumble a bit after children have made themselves comfortable on his back.
A little further on – just past the witch’s house – you’ll come across Fiona the croaky owl, sitting on a branch. Not only can she talk, she can sing, too!

But for the children the real highpoint comes right at the end of the trail, when they get to see the Murmli Cave with its living room, bedroom and kitchen!

Suitable for buggies!
